Run for the Sun 5K supports environmental education in Maine. Organized by Colby senior Maddie Purcell, it will start at the Brunswick town green at 9AM THIS SATURDAY.
So if you’re at Bowdoin, Colby, or Bates for the summer or just happen to live in the area this is perfect for you!
Medals and Maynard’s Chocolates will be awarded to the top 2 in each gender division and age group, and all participants also get a package of race day discounts to Brunswick area restaurants and stores, including Little Tokyo, Big Top Deli, Lilee’s Public House, Maynard’s Chocolates, Pedro O’Hara’s, Broadway Deli, O’Shea’s, Wild Oats and Tontine Candies.
The first 100 registrants will receive a participant’s bag on race day, including a free t-shirt, and if you’re boring or lazy you can walk.
