STARS is a tracking and rating system developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Schools receive ratings based on self-reported information about their sustainability practices. Unsurprisingly, Middlebury received the highest rating of Gold, while Tufts and Williams were rated Silver. Bowdoin, Colby, and Trinity are registered on the website but have yet to be rated.
I don’t know how I feel about this whole “self-reporting” thing. I don’t trust secessionists as far as I can throw them. Middlebury may think they’re Michael Phelps, but we all know that they’re the Chinese women’s gymnastics team.
Oh what’s that you say? Your Professor just got arrested in a protest of dirty energy?
