It’s Inauguration Week!

Tufts is undergoing some major administrative changes, and not just at the undergraduate level. Apart from having a new University President (Anthony Monaco, certified genius), we also just hired John Barker from the University of Miami (represent!) who, as quoted in the Daily, will be responsible for the oversight and growth of the “student services, student affairs, academic advising and undergraduate studies, programs abroad and intercultural and social identities programs,” according to a letter today from Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences Joanne Berger−Sweeney and Dean of the School of Engineering Linda Abriola. I would love to tell you his official title but no one actually knows. EDIT: He is the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. Furthermore!!! Dr. Harris Berman was named the Dean of the Medical School early last week. The school will also begin a search for a new Provost for the 2012-2013 academic year.

It’s a pretty exciting week…

It’s a week long celebration festival! I have copied the event invitation below to President Monaco’s Inauguration:
